Why do I feel a warming/tingling/burning sensation when I use Restore®?

Our vaginal gels and lubricant products are formulated within a healthy vaginal pH range. Often, when beginning to use our products, if your vaginal pH is elevated, you may experience a warming sensation within the first several days. This means the product is working and we encourage you to continue to use it, especially if you have symptoms of dryness or discomfort, which are often associated with an elevated pH. Often, it may be helpful to introduce a smaller amount of the moisturizing gel in the beginning, slowly increasing the dosage over time. We also recommend using Restore internally and wiping off any gel that is in contact with the delicate labial tissues to reduce these sensations. If you continue to experience undue discomfort, we recommend discontinuing use and contacting your healthcare provider.
